Woocommerce, MaxMind integration and GDPR

To use the geolocation service in Woocommerce, integration is required with MaxMind.

We need to know the GDPR implication of this, to include in a privacy notice, but I cannot find this anywhere, neither in WooCommerce docs, nor MaxMind’s.

MaxMind’s FAQs give no information: Here are 2 of their FAQs:
Is the GDPR applicable to me as MaxMind’s customer?
– You should consult with your company’s legal counsel to determine if the GDPR applies to you.
Is the GDPR applicable to MaxMind?
– MaxMind is covered by the GDPR in situations where MaxMind processes personal data of MaxMind customers, including but not limited to customer end users, if those individuals are located in the EU.
