Woocommerce logo trademark

Apparently WordPress put my plugin offline for a few days following a trademark issue.
Beside I have never claimed implicitly or explicitly to have any affiliation with Woocommerce, I was told to remove any logo reference to it. I believe this to be ridiculous since this is a free and open source project that has absolutely no commercial purpose.
Anyway, this is just a brief explanation on what happened.
