    Hello,

did an update today to v3.15.5 and clicked on update DB (the usual notification button when updating).

Now there is a logfile under WooCommerce > Status > Protocols
    like the following:
    wc-gzd-encryption-2024-01-31-xxxxxxxxx.log

    Content:

    2024-01-31T11:21:37+00:00 ERROR Message was truncated.
    2024-01-31T11:21:38+00:00 ERROR Message was truncated.
    2024-01-31T11:21:42+00:00 ERROR Message was truncated.
    2024-01-31T11:21:50+00:00 ERROR Message was truncated.
    2024-01-31T11:21:53+00:00 ERROR Message was truncated.

    2024-01-31T11:21:59+00:00 ERROR Message was truncated.

This log file is increasing non-stop.
What could be the cause and what could resolve this?

Ah, debug mode is enabled in WooCommerce > Germanized.

But what does this error message mean?

    Hi there,

seems like you are having issues with encryption/decryption: https://vendidero.de/dokument/verschluesselung-sensibler-daten

    Best regards

    Thanks.

I manually deleted the WC_GZD_ENCRYPTION_KEY line in wp_config.php and auto created the line via the notification.

    Still getting the error message.

As I understand this encryption is only relevant for third party API credentials. Those are not in use. So I could just disable the debug mode and the constant logging would disappear. Hm.

Yes, that’s right. Maybe there is some (old) setting set (which was encrypted with another key), e.g. DHL/DP credentials. Yes, disabling the debug mode will suppress the log.

    I disabled debug mode again.

Can I delete the old DHL/DP credentials somewhere in the database?

    I did not find anything.
