    Hi there ?? ,
I have WooCommerce active as I plan selling digital products, but would like to use the default WP features, i.e. login, register, password lost/reset.
That’s why I disabled the lost password endpoint by deleting the slug and also disabled sending the corresponding email with the reset link in WooCommerce settings.
Nevertheless, the password reset email is not sent by WordPress until I completely disable WooCommerce.

WC seems to suppress the sending by WP. Because, although the endpoint is missing, WC keeps sending the reset mail. When disabling WC from sending the mail in the settings, then no mail is sent at all. Only after deactivating WC.

    What can I do?
I am using the latest version of WC (7.5.1 ).

    Regards

  • Hi @rehatiere007

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that after disabling the Lost Password endpoint under WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced, the default password reset email of WordPress is not being sent unless you deactivate WooCommerce, correct?

On my personal site running on the default Storefront theme, this is the Lost Password page using the lost-password endpoint:

After deleting the lost-password endpoint, this is what I’m seeing when I click the Lost your Password link under the My Accounts page, I am redirected to the built-in password reset page of WordPress:

Up to this point, can you see the same screen above when trying to reset your password? What happens next when you click the Get New Password button?

If a screenshot would be helpful, I’d recommend using https://snipboard.io. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

Additionally, I’d like to understand your site properly, please share your System Status Report that you can find via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

If you could also provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

You could copy and paste your reply here or paste it via https://gist.github.com/ and send the link here.

    Thanks!

    Hello @xue28 ,
sorry for my late response and thank you very much for your feedback.
I will set up a new installation in the next few days and test with my theme (I used Blocksy when this problem occured, but switched to FSE theme Spectra One now) and Storefront. And then get back to you with the test results.
    Regards
