    Hello.

I am starting a page as a writer to publicity my wrintings, my courses, selling my books anda so one.

    1o Instalation

I put the woocommerce on the page, for the site and store stay on the same area. The problem is that on the woocommerce, i can not configure the categories and organize the store diferent from default. (If i install for exemple the storely theme it applies to whole site, not just the woocommerce.

I think i cannot have a theme for my personal page and other for the woocommerce at same time, or i can?

    2o Solution.

I think the solution is to have a wordpress instalattion for my wroter things (blog, book announces, galerie and so one unde https://robertojesusreis.pt, and another instalation for the store outside of mai page like this https://store.robertojesusreis.pt.

    Can you advise someting?

    Thanks

    Hi @robreis ,

Thanks for reaching out! You’re correct that WordPress only allows one active theme per installation, so you can’t apply a separate theme just for WooCommerce while keeping a different one for your personal page.

Your solution of using a subdomain (e.g., store.robertojesusreis.pt) with a separate WordPress installation for your store is a great approach. This would allow you to use one theme for your main site and a different one for the store. Alternatively, you could explore page builder plugins or custom templates to style your store differently without needing a separate installation.

    Thank you.

    Hello.

    thanks for your answer.
do you know why i can not have a button of categories when the woocommerce is inside the site? I just have all the products displayed without categoeies.

    thanks

    Hi @robreis,

I’m not quite sure I understand your request, and it appears to involve customizing your site, which is beyond our support scope. I’d recommend consulting a WordPress/WooCommerce expert to assist you in building your store.

Additionally, if your goal is simply to sell products on your existing site, using a subdomain isn’t necessary. You can install WooCommerce, set it up, and integrate the shop page into your menu while using your current theme. This way, you can still sell directly from your main site.
