Woocommerce In-Person Payments

    We are using PixelYourSite for GA4 tracking, but we were previously using another plugin that didn’t work as well.

    Recently, we discovered that all of the orders from the card reader at our kiosk started tracking in GA4. I believe this could be due to the Google Analytics Advanced Purchase Tracking toggle being on, but can’t be sure.

    I am reaching out to confirm whether or not anyone else is experiencing this, and what the true fix would be.

    I am thinking with GA4 if we want to track in-person payments we should setup a different data stream that tracks the in-person payments separately, or at the very least turn off tracking for the in-person payments.

    Please advise on the best solution.

    Helo,

    The advanced purchase tracking option tracks orders whe:

    1. The order did not triggered the default purchase events for some reason. Probably the case here.
    2. The order status changes to Completed. Again, probably the case here.

    So, while not familiar to this particular form of payment, I can guess the tracking is indeed related to the Advanced purchase tracking option. If you don’t want this to happen, you can turn it OFF.
