Woocommerce import issues – stock, stock?

I’m attempting to import a CSV with products.
I’ve attempted to map the fields, but for some reason I’m not winning.

Either choosing the stock field or the stock? field makes no difference.
Products that are out of stock, show in stock. Products that are in stock, show out of stock.

I’ve checked the sample template and changed my CSV to reflect “instock: and “outstock”.
It makes no difference.

What should the CSV values be for stock?
Should I map the stock? or stock field?
Should the stock in the CSV be instock and outstock? Or something else?
