how to get products to accept information

I want to be able to capture information when my users buy a product.

E.g. My website allows registered users (parents) to buy classes for their children. I want the user to specify which child they are buying the class for so that I know who to expect on the class. This is to cater for parents that have multiple children they would like to enroll.

So I would like a dropdown box displaying the children associated with that user.

Is this possible with Woocommerce?
