Woocommerce .. how to create Latest Products pages

Hi .. I have a vintage/antique furniture site using woocommerce with a product set that is changing daily. The ‘nav bar’ menu at the moment shows only the categories in sevreal items and I have managed to find a way (by adding a filter on woocommerce_get_catalog_ordering_args) to force ordering to be by date. What I would like to add is two additional menu items for ‘latest items’ with items which have been added in the last week and the last month. There may be more than a page’s worth of product here so the result should be able to span multiple pages with the usual wordpress ‘showing 1-M of N’ etc ( think that this is called ‘pagination’).
I’m currently using the woocommerce ‘recent_products’ shortcode but this has two problems: 1) it doesn’t allow me to search for ‘last week’ or ‘last month’ and 2) the result does not have the pagination stuff.
How can I make ‘latest_products’ work just like other woocommerce shop or category pages ?
