Woocommerce/Guest Checkout – Not redirecting to Payment Gateway

    Good morning everyone, first of all, I’d like to wish everyone at Woocommerce Happy New Year – wishing you all a Blessed and Prosperous 2025.

    We seem to be having a problem on a client web site with our current settings.

    We have enabled Guest Checkout and Login during checkout.

    When we enable Allow customers to create an account during checkout, on the front end – it appears that the checkbox which the customer will have to check and then subsequently add his password – if he does not check that checkbox and add a password and he proceeds to place the order – there is not redirection to the Payfast payment gateway.

    My question is: is the default behavior of woocommerce and why does it not redirect to Payfast?

    When we enable the Allow customers to create an account On “My account” page – then we are redirected to Payfast

    In both instances the Send password setup link (recommended) is checked.

    When only the guest checkout is enabled without – no account creation – there is not redirection to the payment gateway.

    Please let me know if you require any further information.

    I cant rephrase this any better and client is still having problems – perhaps you just need to read through it again or let me know exactly what paragraph you having a problem with understanding.

    Unfortunately, your request is unclear, as the way your sentences are structured makes it difficult to fully understand what you need help with.

    From what I gathered, it seems you have enabled guest checkout and also allowed customers to create an account on both the account page and checkout page. However, you also mentioned a redirection to Payfast, which doesn’t seem directly related to your request. It’s not possible to be redirected from the account creation page to Payfast.

    Could you provide a clearer explanation of what you’re trying to achieve? That would help in finding the best solution.

    If possible please do a screen record using loom to further explain and also share a link to the website you need assistance with.
