WooCommerce gives Fatal error when updating from v. 7.8.2 to 7.9.0

Same issue here. However, It seems I am unable to even rollback to WooCommerce 7.8.2 – I installed the RollBack plugin, and initiated the rollback – however at the bottom of the log it notes ‘update failed’ and I see that the WooCommerce version has remained 7.9.0 – Do you have any suggestions for me on how you were able to RollBack ?

Solved. by using FileZilla and SFTP to manually remove the 7.9.0 iteration and upload the 7.8.2 of WooCommerce. Issue solved as such.

Same here, downgraded and OK now.

I wonder if its related to another plugin or theme as this only happened on one website we have, but we have other WooCommerce sites that upgraded OK. Any of you have any these plugins:

@devtrials learn WP CLI because for issues like this its amazing. This is the rollback command:

wp plugin update woocommerce --version=7.8.2

Try disabling woo-variations-table-grid, it’s mentioned in the error. I’m not at my computer anymore to try.

The problem appears to do with the Woocommerce Variations Table – Grid plugin

Wow, that is a very old version of the Variations Table Grid plugin, at least if it is the one by NitroWeb. You should update all other plugins before updating WooCommerce to help avoid this.

@scmsteve I think you’re right because after I posted that I had an issue I realised my variations table plugin is modified and pulled out of the updates check. So my plugin has not been updated and I have a task set to look into what the modifications are so I can apply it to the updated one.

I don’t usually modify plugins but sometimes you have to. And the risk is this happening!
