WooCommerce Free Shipping Coupon not working

  • Using WooCommerce version 4.6

    I have Flat Rate zones set up for multiple area codes. Then I have a Free Shipping Zone set to everywhere, with the configuration that it “requires a valid coupon”. I have created a coupon for free shipping as well called “iriefree”.

    In the cart, the checkout page says the coupon is successfully applied, however the Flat rate shipping is still showing. What step am I missing?

  • I’m having the same exact issue and cannot for the life of me get this to work. WooCommerce needs to address this please.

    I have the same issue as well. I’ve followed and rechecked the instructions, but no “free shipping” option appears when using the coupon code with added “free shipping”. I would love to have this resolved for my customers.

    OK, maybe this is the solution:
    Once I moved the free shipping zone with the coupon up to first place in shipping zones, the coupon worked for both discount and free shipping. Previously, the system would match the coupon to add the discount to the products, BUT the regular shipping zone for shipping (not the free shipping that was associated with the coupon).

    I found this website really helpful. So far, it has solved all of my bugs. My main mistake was that I treated the shipping zone as a topic/condition rather than a geographical area within which I could set several conditions. So now I have just a few zones, but each with several shipping methods (such as pickup, delivery, free shipping, free shipping with coupon, etc). I hope this helps you ??
