    Hi,

Woocommerce filter is supposed to be compatible with Polylang since this changlog

    2018-12-18 – version 1.0.9

    • Added adaptive thumbnails
    • Added support for plugin Polylang
    • Added translation files

However, neither Woo nor Polylang can make it work. Of course this is not responsibility of Polylang but Woocommerce Filter plugin doesn’t have a page on www.remarpro.com. I contacted Woo support I want to share their answer here:

While Product Filters can be translated into your shop’s basic language (as you have done by setting up French filters already), we do not have any specific information on how this would work with Polylang.

The product filters are a custom post type, so it would be up to Polylang to support that post type or note. But even if you can translate the filter, please note that it is highly likely that the results from the filter will be a mixture of all languages on the site. As Polylang requires you to duplicate your products into the other languages, but Product Filters does not use language as one of the parameters, it’s likely that all returned products will be a mixture of languages.

But if you wish to see if that turns out to be true, we would recommend reaching out to the developers of Polylang to see if this type of data is supported for translation.

I did find this note online that might be relevant:?
    >> In the case of Polylang PRO, the ability to translate Filter Sets and SEO Rules should be available by default. You just need to open any Filter Set or SEO Rule and create a translation for it. If this option is not available, you have to activate Filter Set and SEO Rules as translatable post types in Polylang PRO?Languages -> Settings -> Custom post types and Taxonomies.

I don’t think this is appropriate for support plugin that cost $76/year.

This is the answer I received yesterday from Woo

Thanks for your reply and for sharing your concerns.?

While I cannot guarantee 100% that this is something we can support, I have at least reached out to our developers to see why we state that we declare support for Polylang and to inquire about what this means exactly.??

Once we have a bit more insight, we’ll be in touch.

So, I would say the answer is quite obvious. “Support” means “make it work” if there is no other plugin/theme that interferes.

    Hello,

Support for premium plugins is not allowed on this www.remarpro.com forum.
If you have answers from WooCOmmerce premium plugin to share with us, share it on the ticket already opened in our Pro helpdesk.

    Hello,

I posted because the ticket opened with Polylang Pro and Woo has not resolved the issue, as both developers keep passing the buck.

I believe it’s fair to inform the WordPress community that compatibility is still lacking. I don’t want to place blame; I just want it to work. You probably know better how to collaborate with Woo to achieve this.
