Woocommerce Fatal Errors and MailChimp Issues

Based on the error message you provided, it seems that there is a conflict between the BigCommerce and WooCommerce plugins, as they both define the same function name (wc_print_notices). This could be causing the problems with your orders, MailChimp, and order confirmations.

To resolve this issue, please try the following steps:

• Deactivate the BigCommerce plugin and see if the error goes away and the other issues are fixed.
• If the error and the issues are still present, deactivate all other plugins except WooCommerce and MailChimp and see if that makes any difference.
• If the error and the issues are still present, switch to a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-One and see if that solves the problem.
• If the error and the issues are still present, clear your browser cache and cookies and try again.

Thanks – I need to contact server co too – Bid Commerce plug in in no longer active as the site was moved to a new server. I am cleaning up someone else’s mess… basically. So obv some files have been left that are not showing in the CMS panel

From what I gather, some progress has been made. Let’s list the original issues, and see where the situation is currently:

• No orders are showing in the Woocommerce reports.
• The “subscribe to” mailing list on checkout is not working. (mailchimp)
• The connection between the two is not working (WooCommerce and mailchimp, as I understand). The order confirmations are not sending.

As this is a clean-up process, the next step would be to test with WooCommerce active only. That’d help ensure it is working as expected, and all desired emails are sent out.

Note that to test the above, a core payment option will come in handy, and the email would be sent out from the WordPress installation itself — no mailchimp integration needed at this point.

To get an idea of how your site is configured, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status, as exemplified here, at the point in time where WooCommerce only is active? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

Also I created a staging site which asked me to connect to wooC because I got a message saying that only one site could be connected – or to add as an additional websitel. So I added it.

Then I got sorry booted out and the error said you dont have permissions screen. Then I was able to get back into the site via the hosting account and all seemed fine. The REALY weird thing is Now the checkout page looks fine without the THREE fields for an email address. However subscribe to MailCHimp still doesnt work

Can you please share a screenshot of what you see at that screen? That will help us understand the issue. Feel free to use a tool, like https://snipboard.io/, for sharing screenshots in the forum.

I’m not sure if I’ve got the full picture here. To clarify, are you now able to connect to, and use, the site at https://artquiltshawaii.com, with the only remaining issue being the one related to Mailchimp, or otherwise?

While I was able to place a test order, as a test client (screenshot showcasing this, below), indeed, it appears that 3 email fields appear on the Checkout page.

From the site’s System Status Report (SSR) it appears that the Formidable Forms: by Strategy11 Form Builder Team – 6.7.2 might have been utilized to customize the Checkout page? Worth double-checking, and reaching out to its support channel (linked here), if so.

I’m not able to replicate this issue on my website. On my site, while using WooPayments, only one email field shows. So it is possible this was a conflict with another plugin.
