    Hi @teppeland1970,

It sounds like the files might have been corrupted during the update. Even though the dashboard no longer lists WooCommerce among your plugins, it’s possible that there are still traces of the WooCommerce files in the server – which is why the plugin can’t be installed again.

You’d need to access your site via FTP, so that you can delete the WooCommerce plugin folder. If you don’t have FTP access yet, you should contact your host – they’d be able to help you get FTP credentials.

Once you login to your site via FTP, locate the plugins folder, and remove the woocommerce folder from there. Once deleted, you should be able to go back to your site’s Dashboard and install the plugin again.

Most WooCommerce data (Orders, Customers, Products) is stored in the database, so no information should be lost by deleting the plugin files. However, it’s always a good idea to keep site backups, for situations like this. Hopefully, you don’t need one this time and everything goes well!

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
