• On a WooCommerce site I’m getting the Confirm Form Resubmission .. ERR_CACHE_MISS when hitting the browser’s back button after adding a product and viewing the basket (cart) page.

The issue resolves when caching is disabled.

    I tried adding:
    /shop/
    /basket/
to the exclusion rules, but it’s not helping.

This also happens for logged-in users – namely myself as admin – even though I have “Disable caching for logged in visitors” checked.

    Can you assist?

    Thanks Mortelking.

This was a client request ie. they and their website users were experiencing the issue, so it wasn’t just happening in my browser.

I was able to replicate the issue, and can confirm that it is not browser related or browser-specific, especially seeing as the issue does not occur when WP Super Cache caching is disabled, so this is an issue with WP Super Cache.

@simbasounds – This plugin adds .htaccess directives to make the pages uncacheable by the browser, especially in expert mode AFAIR. If you’re using expert mode, can you switch to simple mode?

When you test this again can you enable the debug log for your IP and check if the browser requests the page from the server. That might help to show if the plugin is disabled on the product/cart pages or not too.

Unfortunately I don’t know why this is happening on your site. I don’t remember anyone else reporting this problem.

    Hi Donncha,

Many thanks for your reply. My client is resolving this with another developer now, so I won’t be able to test the solution, but I’ll take note of your suggestion for future reference.

    Thanks again,
    Simon
