This might be a stretch, but I want to know if it’s possible to build a Woocommerce site with separate checkout processes depending on the produt. Most of the site will be an Amazon affiliate site (planning on using Woozone Amazon Affiliate module) where customers add to a single cart on site, and are then directed to Amazon with the full cart to make payment.

But I’m also considering adding products from other affiliate programs like Ali Baba that we would take payment with our own payment portal.

Hoping against hope here, I know this is challenging, just wondering if anyone has any ideas if this is possible and if so how we could implement.

    Hello @rvpsrichard,

    Thank you for reaching out!

I’ve never ordered anything from Alibaba, so I could be wrong, but I don’t believe their affiliate program allows for payments to be processed on your platform.

What you’re describing is essentially dropshipping, a model where you connect your online store with a supplier and have them automatically send items to your customers when orders are placed on your site.

If you’re interested in connecting your store with an AliExpress supplier, we have an extension available in our store that can help you achieve this. You can find more information about it here: AliExpress Dropshipping for WooCommerce.

All extensions sold on WooCommerce.com have a 30-day refund policy. If the product doesn’t work the way you need it or you think another product would work better, we are more than happy to provide a full refund.

You can also find more options online for Alibaba with a Google search but I can’t suggest any, please make sure to do some research before adding any plugins/integrations to your store. :?)

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the reply and the suggestion for the new plugin. You are correct, we’re working on making these sites 100% drop shipping and I have found plugins that will automate both Amazon and AliExpress in the way I want to do it.

The question is whether they is a way to employ different payment processes on the same site. With Amazon, I was planning on allowing cart addtiions on our site and then sending them to Amazon for the payment phase. With Ali Express, I can either take the payment myself (preferred for additional markup) or just send them to Ali Express and just take an affiliate commission.

The question is, how do manage the different payment links on an individual product basis?

The question is, how do manage the different payment links on an individual product basis?

I did some digging and found the following extension: WooCommerce Dropshipping.

According to the documentation, it supports both AliExpress and Amazon Affiliate Support, but for Amazon products, they’ll be redirected to the product page without cart functionality.

Meaning, if the product is from an AliExpress supplier → you manage the ordering process and the supplier gets notified for fulfilment → if the product is from Amazon based → redirect the customer to Amazon → you receive a commission.

Please check this part for more context: WooCommerce Dropshipping Documentation.

If you have any questions about the extension, please open a new ticket from WooCommerce.com > MY profile > Support and we’ll move your request to the plugin author. :?)

    Hope this helps!
