Woocommerce Double url – wrong url Google index
-
Hi WP community,
I am having problems with the Woocommerce url structure for a website. With Woocommerce, a category page is reachable through multiple urls, which is bad for SEO.
Here is an example of 2 urls for the same category page:
[ redundant link removed ]My menu structure, internal links and backlinks all use the first url of the example. Now I see that Google is indexing pages with the second url example (/category/camellia/).
How can I best solve this? I am afraid that not all link value will be taken in the ranking and possibly I will get a penalty for duplicated content. Can I change something in Woocommerce, or should I set 301 redirects for example.
Is there anyone who has also had this problem and has the right solution?
