    Hi there, ??

I have struggled to find a solution of my problem and so ended up here. I am only an amateur when it comes down to wordpress and woocommerce really so if you are able to help me, please don’t get annoyed with my request :). System Status Report and some error reports have been attached at this end. Now to my problem:

I am using the Flatrate Shipping Option with 6 different options, from which the customer has to choose by themselves. They are all written in the additional rates window.
However when you go on the cart or checkout page it only says
“Shipping costs will be calculated once you have provided your address.”

To work around it I have tried to tick “enable the shipping calculator on the cart page” under “shipping options”
Now when you press calculate and type in/choose anything in the three boxes and press the “calculate shipping” button below all the options come up & remain.

I would like to know if there is an easier workaround to this without inconveniencing our customers, because I don’t think anyone would have the patience to do this.

What I would need is that as soon as you go on the cart or checkout page under shipping options the six different choices people have show up.

Could you please let me know if this is possible with woocommerce and if yes how to manage to fix it.

I have just added the debug to wpconfig and the following shows up at the top of the screen however I have not ever changed anything in these folders which are said to be at fault:

Notice: Use of undefined constant wp_generator – assumed ‘wp_generator’ in /var/www/vhosts/thepawstore.co.nz/httpdocs/max2shadytpshp/wp-content/plugins/wp-secure-by-sitesecuritymonitorcom/wpSecureFunctions.php on line 1177

I cant see these options come up at all. Why cant I create a zone (different areas within Ireland) and then have them as options under calculate shipping. The way its set up, you can only choose States or zip codes in the US. Am I missing something? Thanks!

You mean you are getting options for setting up the shipping zone??? If yes so follow the following steps maybe this can solve the problem.

Login into your account > WC Commerce > WC Settings

    1) general page – set all the important things like base location, selling country, Default customer location – Geolocate

Once you set up all the things you can proceed ahead with the next step.

    Click on shipping page.

you will see 3 options like zone name 2nd – Region 3rd – Shipping method

Zone name will be your city or area where u want to sell your product
Regino name will be state name within country like in my case i am from india so my zone name will be Mumbai (City Name) Maharashtra (Will be Region name)

Once to select the both the things clik on save, once its saved click on + appeared just after your region name.

Now you can select the different shipping methods and apply different rates.

I hope this will help you.

    Thanks

Hey everyone. I am kinda stumped here. I am trying to show the Shipping Line item in all woocommerce emails even though the shipping is $0.00. This is a Woocommerce default. Is there a code i could use in the themes functions.php file? Thanks in advance!

    HI,

Can you explain me in detail, maybe I can help you.

    Hello,
I am having the same problem. I have a Site Origin Vantage theme with WooCommerce. I went through all the instruction set up videos and can’t figure out why the cart won’t show shipping totals. It appears lots of people are having the same issue. I don’t have the box checked that address must be entered. I think something is wrong, or there is a bug in this. I also don’t have the check box to enable this shipping method, just a save button.
    I have these

Shipping Zones > Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico > Flat Rate
    Cost: [fee percent=”15″min_fee=”10″]

    United States
    standard flat rate: [fee percent=”15″min_fee=”7″]
    Priority flat rate: [fee percent=”20″min_fee=”10″]
Free Shipping: minimum order amount: Over 50.00
My cart shows shipping options, but won’t add any amount even after going to paypal. The cart shows no shipping amount
    From my cart:
    Your order
    Product Total
    Bones Skateboard Ripper Sticker × 5 $15.00
    Subtotal $15.00
    Shipping

    Standard Flat Rate
USPS Priority 2-3 Day Flat Rate

    Total $15.00

    PayPal PayPal Acceptance Mark
    What is PayPal?

Pay via PayPal; you can pay with your credit card if you don’t have a PayPal account.

I’ve read and accept the terms & conditions *
Please help because I can’t move forward until the shopping cart calculates shipping.

WooCommerce would have to know where the customer lives before it can determine what shipping methods are available. If there is only one method, WC can calculate shipping costs, otherwise there should be radio buttons for the customer to choose the shipping method.

Setting a customer location could be achieved by setting the default customer location to either shop-base-address or to geolocate. Alternatively you could check “enable shipping calculator on cart page”.

What are your settings for these two fields?

    PayPal is a payment method.

I have the radio buttons in the cart, but the cart won’t calculate any cost. Yeah I also have the enable shipping calculator enabled. I tried it with geolocate checked and unchecked and no change.

Please set no default customer location and post the url to your site.

    This is my temporary domain:
    https://s658060627.onlinehome.us/

    Regarding this setting:
    Priority flat rate: [fee percent=”20″min_fee=”10″]
did you retype it for the post or did you copy and paste it?

There is no space between “20” and min, there must be because they are separate parameters. Also the quotes must be straight quotes " not smart quotes. So:
Priority flat rate: [fee percent="20" min_fee="10"]

On my setup, not having the space between the parameters was enough to break it.

Yeah I think I copied the code right from the WooCommerce installation instructions, and then made a few edit s. I wanted to make sure I didn’t make any mistakes with it. If that is the case then that would explain why so many people are having trouble with this. I mean if they didn’t put the space in their instructions. I will give it a try and let you know. Thank you so much for helping me!

Yep you were right. I took the space out and it works great now. Thank you for helping me with this. I’ve been going over this for two days and couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working.
