    Hello everybody,

I know, this question may have been asked a few times before, sorry for that. But I couldn’t find a solution so I have to ask.
My WooCommerce doesn’t send an email, when a client orders a product in my shop. Neither me nor the client gets notificated via email. If it helps, I am using WordPress 5.6.2. and WooCommerce 5.0.0.

Wordpress does send mails, I have set up the email function correctly with the Plugin WP Mail SMTP. I also send a test email from my WordPress site – this works fine.
I also checked the WooCommerce settings: I have activated all necessary email options, added the same email address for emails I am receiving, than I did in the SMTP settings. There are no spelling mistakes also.
The process of taking an order in the shop works fine; if a client makes an order in the shop I can see and work with the order in my WooCommerce backend.

I really don’t know what else to try, since I think I set up everything correctly. But maybe I am missing something. I am really grateful for any, if just so little, advice.
    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Kind regards

    Sandra

    Hi Sandra!

I understand that you are having an issue with emails going from your WooCommerce website.

    To get started,

    • Ensure that the corresponding email templates are enabled by visiting each option from this page: WooCommerce > Settings > Emails.
    • Talk to your website host to understand if they offer an email server. If they do not, you must install a SMTP email host and configure it to send out emails.
    • Install a mail logging plugin like WP Mail Logging to understand if emails are actually going out from your site.

Please note that the plugin will not retroactively log emails, but will do so for new outgoing emails. So, try placing a few orders to see how things look.

    Thanks for the fast answer.

Oh my god, I can’t believe I didn’t find this documentation before. The problem was a wrong order status that I set by cash on pickup.

Thank you very much, now everything works fine!
