    Hi friends of the forum,

I’ve imported products with price without taxes (I use European VAT), hoping that Woocommerce automatically add the VAT percentage of 22% (Italian VAT) as I’ve set up it in tax configuration, based on shop address (so that for all customers).

But it doesn’t add 22% of tax, instead of this, it displays that the price is VAT included.

Do I have to increase the original price giving it the tax already included or there is a way that Woocommerce add the tax for me?

    Thank you in advance.

  • I suspect your settings in Woocommerce Settings > Tax > Tax setup are incorrectly set. I think these would overide anything setup against a product.

As mentioned above, you’ll want to check your settings on WooCommerce > Settings > Tax.

If on that page you’ve selected “Yes, I will enter prices inclusive of tax” then your prices need to the total product price + tax.

WooCommerce will not increase your product prices.

Since you have uploaded your products using a price that does NOT include VAT, you would need to select the “No, I will enter prices exclusive of tax” option on the page I mentioned above.

You can then set your display options for how you would like prices displayed lower on the page.

Thank you very much. Now it works fine.
