Hello,

1) when setting latest as default display it creates some random ordering

Sort by most recent displays products in the order they were added to the store (newest to oldest). If your store doesn’t work as expected, you’ll first want to do a full conflict test to determine if the issue is coming from a plugin/theme conflict.

2) i have implemented tax but it does display properly on the from end and sometimes it just displays duplicated price

Thank you for the screenshot and system status.

Looking at the screenshot, I see that you’ve selected “I will enter prices inclusive of tax,” and also set “Price Display Suffix” to {price_including_tax} – which as a result, displays duplicated price:

If you’d like to add simple text like “including tax” after the price, you can type so in the Price Display Suffix field.
