I am implementing force woocommerce download, but after checkout I was not able to download the file. It gives me 403 forbidden error. I went through all the possible solution found on google but I didn’t find any luck:
    – I had tried checking file permission and all permission modes are ok.

    – Moreover I had tried disabling all the plugin except woocommerce and activating 2017 theme

    – There is htaccess file on woocommerce_uploads folder and I guess it is necessary to prevent direct download

    – Tried clearing up cache

    – request server if any setting from their end

Please share me any idead regarding to this issue, I am really having hard time to fixed this error.

    Hi There!

What’s the file permissions you have on that directory? Also, are you adding the file to the woocommerce_uploads directory or through the regular WordPress media directory?

    HI RK,

Thank you very much for your support, file permission for woocommerce_uploads( including all folders ) folder is 755 and single file is 644

I had added the downloadable files directly from woocommerce dashboard,

I look forward to your response.

    Thanks

That’s perfect. Given that the site is throwing a 403 error, I’d reach out to your host next to make sure everything is in order.

Thank you Hannah S for joining here on ticket, I had submitted this queries just to confirmed if this issue is from server but they conclude telling me this issue is due to the .htaccess( deny all ) file inside the woocommerce_uploads folder. Below I had attached support ticket.

    Hey there,

WooCommerce shouldn’t be denying all, as that defeats the purpose of being able to download files. I recommend taking a look through this article:

    Hi @sushil-adhikari,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    Cheers!
