    Hi there,
i updated Woo commerce to the new and mighty 3.0 and instantly all problems started. So i deleted that woo commerce and got back to the old version but now the customizer is not working anymore and tells me “WooCommerce Customizer is inactive as it requires WooCommerce. Please activate WooCommerce version 2.5.5 or newer” but i have installed Woocommerce version 2.6.14. I tried deactivating woocommerce and reactivating but without succes. Any help would be greatly appreciated since my tabs are all messed up now.

    Thanks for your time,

    Sjoerd

Hey @sjoerd89 sorry to hear you ran into issues while upgrading! This is likely due to a mismatch between the WooCommerce database version on your site vs the WooCommerce version actually installed (as upgrading to 3.0 upgraded your database).

You should be able to sync this up if you visit yoursite.com/wp-admin?do_update_woocommerce=true (update the URL with the URL for your site’s admin). Can you please visit this URL on your site while logged in, then try to activate our plugin again and let me know how that goes?

    Thanks! – Beka

Hello I’m having the same issue. Your explanation is not working for me obviously I’m doing something wrong.

my site is not a “.com” its a ‘.us’ Does this matter?

    Hi Juniha,

Absolutely, .us, .net, .ca, whatever the last part of your domain is, that should work. If you have it in a subfolder of your main domain, include that folder too.

So if your site is at https://www.coolthings.us/things, you’ll want to go to:

    https://www.coolthings.us/things/wp-admin?do_update_woocommerce=true

If it’s just at https://www.coolthings.us, go to:

    https://www.coolthings.us/wp-admin?do_update_woocommerce=true

    Does that make sense?

    Let me know,

    Julie ??

Note sure what this mean: “If you have it in a subfolder of your main domain, include that folder too.”

Sorry if i’m being ‘thick’ just like very specific instructions.

The name of the site [sub-dmain at the moment] is called: “https://s644181692.onlinehome.us/”

if I do “https://s644181692.onlinehome.us/wp-admin?do_update_woocommerce=true” then something will happen? yes or no

This is how I’m reading your explanation.

    Hi Juniha,

Yes, sorry for the confusion. If your site is located at: https://s644181692.onlinehome.us/

then you can update your WooCommerce by going to:

    https://s644181692.onlinehome.us/wp-admin?do_update_woocommerce=true

That should do the trick! Please let me know how that works out.

    Thanks!

    Julie ??

    Hello Julie,

I tried it this morning and nothing happened. I just goes to the dashboard and …. nothing.

I then tried activating the woo commerce customize plugin and trying the link again…

then nothing happened. It still says at the top. [WooCommerce Customizer is inactive as it requires WooCommerce. Please activate WooCommerce version 2.5.5 or newer” ]

version I have running now are:

    Woo commerce Version 3.6.14

    and WooCommerce CustomizerVersion 2.5.0

    Help!

    Hi Juniha,

Would you please be able to verify the WooCommerce version? That version doesn’t seem right to me. Also, are you certain that WooCommerce is enabled?

Please let me know and I’ll be happy to help or point you in the right direction.

    Thanks!

    Julie ??

    Hey Julie,

I found the issue. The developer for the awe booking theme i’m using for the ‘Accommodation hotel site.’ that I’m currently using has replaced the current WC Version 3.1.1 with WC 3.6.14 i order for the check out to work with the awe booking theme plugin.

The trouble is the WC customiser doesn’t work with that WC 3.6.14 version. That’s why it’s not updating.

    Hey Julie,

    Are you there?

    Hey Juniha,

Apologies for the delay here. We do try to check in regularly, though sometimes our support for our paid plugins prevents us from responding super quickly to threads here on www.remarpro.com.

With regards to the version, there doesn’t seem to be a version 3.6.14 of WooCommerce. There’s a 2.6.14. If it’s 2.6.14, Customizer should work for it — it requires a minimum of WooCommerce 2.5.5.

That said, if your developer has made changes to the core WooCommerce plugin, we won’t be able to really help out here as that’s a bit outside of our scope. With regards to Customizer, though, we’ll be pushing some fixes to our free plugins to ensure the database updater routine gets run properly.

You can keep up with all our news, including fixes, new releases and new plugins, by subscribing to our free newsletter, if you like!

    Julie ??

    Thanks for replying back.

Yes, the versions of Woocommerce I’m using is Woocommerce Version 3.6.14 by “Wootheme” which when I check goes to the Woocommerce site. So it’s possible you’re right they may have tweaked the code.

Are you stating that there is a woo commerce 2.6.14, because the latest is 3.1.1?

But I’ll be on to them[developers] about a resolution.

    Cheers

    Hi Juniha,

I’m certain they have tweaked it, because yes, the latest WooCommerce version is 3.1.1. 2.6.14 seems like a logical assumption because the 2 and 3 are next to each other. If you continue to have issues once you’ve contacted the developers, you can open up a new thread here and either I or someone else from SkyVerge will be happy to assist with any other issues you might be having.

    Thanks so much,

    Julie ??

Sure I will do. Thanks again for your patience. I’ll keep in touch once I get behind this mess.
