    Hi,
I am looking for a solution that will solve the following request: I have a product attribute “size” (used for variations) with too many values. I enable filtering by size but the filter is not user friendly with so many values. What I want to do is to group multiple sizes behind fewer filtering options (for example – display one filtering option “5-8 years” that actually filters by multiple sizes (“5 years”, “6 years”, “7 years”, “8 years”). Any ideas how to do that?

The products come from automatic scheduled imports, so the solution should be as least intrusive as possible, regarding the products and their attributes.

  • Hello,

You can use a plugin to assign products to specific attribute groups. Here is one I found:
    https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-group-attributes/15467980

    I hope it helps.

    Hi @quester

I’m marking this thread as resolved. If you have further questions, please feel free to open a new topic.

I would like to do the same. Did you figure out a solution?

I don’t think that plugin does what the OP was asking. Looking at the feature list it simply groups attributes in different ways to change how they are displayed. It doesn’t seem to affect filters. But please correct me if I’m wrong.

Did anyone else find a solution to this? I’m looking for a plugin that allows me to group filter values together. In the back-end I have multiple shades of red:
    – Red
    – Fire Red
    – Hot Rod Red
    – Crimson

But on the front end filters I simply want a filter value called ‘Red’ which then includes all of the above red attribute values.
