hello, everytime I activate woocommerce it crashed my site and i get the 500:internal error page – it locks me out of my site and dashboard. my theme supports it {Lucienne} but to be sure i tried different themes and it does the same thing. i’ve also deactivated all other plugins and it still crashes.

i’d appreciate any help or insight.

  • Hi Angela,

We are having the same experience on our site. We recently installed WooCommerce and received the same error. We are trying to confirm that our hosting meets the requirements. I will be curious to see what insights others have on this topic.

    Thanks,
    Morgan

Thank you for letting me know you are experiencing the same thing, Morgan. I, too, look forward to hearing from anyone who has experienced this and been able to fix it. I use Hostgator, and they assure me that it’s the plugin – not their hosting… I don’t know how to confirm whether or not that’s true, though. ??

    Hi there,

Sorry to hear you’ve been having such trouble! This sounds like a conflict with your theme or plugin. Can you try again, but first activate a default plugin like Twenty Seventeen and deactivate all plugins before activating WooCommerce. If you don’t receive the error, try activating your plugins one at at time and then your theme and see if one triggers the issue.

You can also read about our server requirements here and make sure your hosting is adequate: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/server-requirements/
