    Error establishing a database connection.

    Thanks for the update!

    The first step would be reading the articles I shared above and if they don’t help you may want to take a look if there are WooCommerce fatal error logs.

    So you can go to WooCommerce > Status > Logs and then select the fatal error file from the dropdown. This might give you some additional clues as to what is causing the error.

    If there are no fatal errors recorded then you could look into setting WordPress in debugging mode and logging errors/warnings to a file. The following documentation explains how this can be done:

    Thanks for sharing the error logs. The system seems to be generating an error log almost every other minute!

    WP Memory Limit: 256 MB

    From the errors it appears that shortage of memory could be playing a role (even though 256 MB is allocated which is the standard recommended value). So, you may want to get in touch with your hosting provider to increase the memory to 512.

    Most importantly, have you performed the steps suggested in the articles shared above by Mirko? If anything is unclear you can let us know.

    Thanks for responding. To clarify, did you try to repair the database as explained in the help guides provided by Mirko? Were the database credentials checked as well? Were the other steps performed?

    When I don’t enable woocomerce, everything is normal.

    If you’re still having memory exhaustion errors, kindly reach out to your host on why the database can’t be connected

    Your server is running out of RAM and the MySQL process is being terminated.

    How much RAM does your server have?

    CPU: 2 cores RAM: 2GB.

    When I run WOOCOMMERCE on my other server (1core 2gbRAM), everything works fine.

    Hi TEAM.
    When I try to create a new site on my host and then install WOOCOMMERCE and enable it, no errors appear.
    So how can I troubleshoot the problem now?
    （I have turned off all plugins）

    Hi @zemanchiu,

    Just to be clear, you’re still disconnecting from the database when only WooCommerce is enabled. Is that right?

    Could you check the error logs and see if they are showing any different error messages? If you find any paste them in here.

    If that doesn’t help, you may find it easier just to move everything to the new site that isn’t having this problem. Sometimes error messages don’t clearly point to the source of the problem. This may be the fastest way to get this working.
