WooCommerce CPT-onomy

Hi, I created a post type “Designers”, that I would like to be used as a taxonomy for WooCommerce products. I registered the post type as a CPT-onomy, and assigned it to the “Products” post type. I can assign Designers under the products. So far so good.

How, however, do I access the products with a certain designer attached to them? Classically, WooCommerce would use something like /shop/?designer=x, and then display the relevant products. This works with my other taxonomies, but not with the CPT-onomy. How would you work around this?
