WooCommerce Country to MailChimp

Hi guys, I was trying to pass the Country value from WooCommerce Checkout page to a Mailchimp list and I tried the functions.php code as recommended here:

But found this was failing because by default it passes the country ShortCode (“US”, “UK”, “AU” etc) rather than the full country descriptor (“United States, United Kingdom, Australia” etc) that Mailchimp uses.

Is there an easy way to pass the actual country name rather than the country shortcode to Mailchimp?
