Woocommerce checkout registration – how to assign different role

  • Hi,

    first of all I would like to thank you for an awesome plugin!

    I have one problem with assigning roles to Woocommerce users. If users use your default Registration form everything is perfect. Problem is if they create a new account during checkout. They are automatically accepted with a role of Member, but this is not OK. How can I assign newly created role to those customers?

    Hi Jurero,

    WooCommerce will assign users via checkout the subscriber role so whatever UM role you have assigned to the wp subscriber role is what they will be given.

    Cant dicuss it here but have you checked out our WooCommerce extension, might be suitable for you.
