Hello. I have a serious problem with my website and i don’t know what to do anymore. I live in north Italy and when customers from the south try to place an order clicking on the “Place order” button, they are taken back to the top of the page and are not able to place the order at all. There aren’t any particular rules that exclude those geographic regions. Neither PayPal nor Stripe work, i don’t know what to do.

    Hi there ??

That’s strange! Can you please share a link to your site to check what might be happening?

    Cheers ??

    Thank you!

Upon checking your site, I could notice that it have several errors coming from the console log. For example, this one:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'getElementsByClassName' of undefined

This kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
    ?
The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

    Before you start

First, please make sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. Most hosting companies have this included in the subscription, but you could also consider using a service like?Jetpack. If something goes wrong, it’s nice to know that you can restore your site.

Second, I would suggest installing a plugin called?Health Check & Troubleshooting. This is a plugin developed by the WordPress community and it allows you to disable plugins without affecting your current site visitors.

    Cheers.

The problem is that the problem only occurs with some customers and i’m not able to replicate the issue myself. I tried using the Paypal and Stripe test mode and i’m able to complete the checkout without any issue.

    Well, that’s strange!

If the issue isn’t replicable, then there is not much advice we can offer here. It could probably be that the client’s browser is outdated or has some extension that prevents the checkout process.

I would recommend reaching them and trying on a new and extension-free browser to see if that fixes the issue.

    I hope that helps!

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
