    Hi everyone,

    Iā€™m experiencing an issue with my WooCommerce storefront at the checkout stage. Despite having a shipping option selected for my products, I encounter an error message during checkout that says: “Sorry, this order requires a shipping option.”

    **Issue Description:**
    When customers proceed to the checkout after adding a product to their cart, which already has a pre-selected shipping method, they’re unable to complete their order due to the aforementioned error message.

    **Additional Clues/Console Errors:**
    There are no apparent JavaScript errors in the browser console directly related to WooCommerceā€™s checkout functionality. However, there was an unrelated WebSocket connection error that I don’t believe is linked to this checkout issue.

    I’d greatly appreciate any insights or suggestions the community might have on this. Has anyone else encountered this issue, or does anyone know a potential fix?

    You sure you’re not stuck in cache? I was able to pull up a rate.

    You should also make sure you never apply cache to a cart, checkout or my account page.

    This is the issue shipping already there, its selected but it still says when put some cards details as :

    “Sorry, this order requires a shipping option.ā€

    You stated above. Which wasn’t the case for me.

    I encounter an error message during checkout that says: ā€œSorry, this order requires a shipping option.

    This is the right behavior unless you were expecting a list of options for the user to show. Then perhaps you’re using a shipping app that controls all that?

    Nope just using WooCommerce

    If I understand you correctly you’re saying that they’re encountering an error when they click the checkout button pay button? Is that correct?

    Yes correct.

    That would require the site to be in test mode though.

    Hi there, It appears that a similar issue has been reported here. If it is the same problem, it should be fixed in 8.9.0
