Woocommerce checkout form not working

  • I am a designer with just enough coding knowledge to get by… and be dangerous!

    I installed woocommerce and added a few simple, downloadable products. I can add a product to the cart and then go to checkout. Everything looks fine and I fill out the Billing Address form. When I click “Continue” nothing happens… no error, no spinning icon, nothing. I see in the address bar of my browser that it switches from “…url/checkout/#billing” to “…url/checkout/#shipping” but nothing on the form or screen changes and I can’t continue with the checkout. This happens weather I’m logged into the site or not.

    All I did was upgrade WP to the latest version – 3.9, and woocommerce to 2.1.7 and it works fine now.

    The problem I’m having now is getting my downloadable product orders to auto complete… they get stuck at “pending” and eventually move to “on hold”. I have to manually switch them to complete in order for customers to be able to download
