    Hi,

I am using Woocommerce 8.3.1 plugin, Checkout Field Editor for WooCommerce 2.0.0 and the newest Shapely theme in WordPress.

The checkout fields of Woocommerce are not changing when I use Checkout Field Editor.

I have already seen this answer before with another question in this page, but I’m not familiar what WooCommerce blocks are, or whether I am using them. How can I know if I am using them? And can you provide an explanation about the meaning of the shortcode part, to people not familiar with it?
We believe that you are using WooCommerce blocks on your website. Due to this reason, the changes are not being reflected on the checkout page. Once WooCommerce adds any hooks or filters, we will definitely provide the compatibility. Could you please check after creating the checkout page using the shortcode [woocommerce_checkout]

I saw this answer also, and I have this setting enabled already. “Enable label override for address fields.” inside the Advanced Settings tab is enabled

Not sure if “Create default WooCommerce pages” is relevant in this topic?

I have manually edited the WordPress /checkout page text which says We’ll use this email to send you details, does that have any effect and can it cause a problem? I only changed the text, nothing else. The checkout fields remain unchanged no matter what I do in the checkout fields editor. I need to remove most of the fields, because they are not needed.

Edit: when I disabled the Woocommerce and Checkout field editor plugins. The pages /shop /cart and /checkout still remain on the website and in the page editor there is now this text inside a box

Your site doesn’t include support for the “woocommerce/checkout” block. You can leave this block intact, convert its content to a Custom HTML block, or remove it entirely.

    Hi,

Let me answer your queries separately.

    >>I’m not familiar what WooCommerce blocks are, or whether I am using them. How can I know if I am using them?

Please check whether a plugin named WooCommerce Blocks has been installed automatically on your website.

    >>And can you provide an explanation about the meaning of the shortcode part, to people not familiar with it?

Please refer to the below link which will explain you about the WooCommerce shortcode.

    Thank you!
