Hello, It’s showing an error while selecting woocommerce cash payment
“This order’s status is “Pending payment”—it cannot be paid for. Please contact us if you need assistance.”
To confirm, this is happening with orders paid for with Cash On Delivery, correct?
Is this happening to every order paid with COD, or does it work sometimes?
Is this happening with regular orders, meaning the customer went to the site and purchased something, or only when you create an order from the back end?
Can you share a screenshot of the error with us?
and sometime it shows “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”
Have you checked your email to see what the email says? It can provide valuable information on what is causing the issue.

System Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support.
Fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs. Then you can use the selector to search for Fatal Errors.
