    Hi,

As soon as this plugin is active in a Woocommerce shop, this happens:

As long as the shopping cart is completely empty, and a customer adds his very first product in the cart, a message appears for about 1 second, saying:

“there are no products in your cart, add products”

this is weird and confusing, because this happens right after a client did indeed add his first product. Also, this message keeps appearing when logged in as an administrator, after editing/adding a product or a page.

We reside in the Netherlands, and I asked a friend from Serbia to test it too. He did not get that message at all in multiple browsers.

Is there some setting in this plugin that might cause this only in some countries, maybe?
Can you help me solve this please?

    Thanks,
    Annie

Another possible clue is that, this also only happens, if the cookie consent is still presented on the page. Looks like, as soon as I hit the ok button in the Cookie banner, after that the message does not appear.

Here you can see the message that always appears when saving a page or product when this plugin is active:

I also checked the settings in Wizard > visitors, and they are correctly set to Europe.

When I switch to another Cookie plugin, this message does no longer appear.

    Hi @logologics,

Could you try navigating to Complianz > Settings > General > Enable “Advanced features”, then scroll down to the Advanced Features section and enable “Cookie blocker for AJAX loaded content”.

If that doesn’t seem to help yet, could you additionally test the behavior with the Facebook integration disabled under Complianz > Integrations > Services?

Please make sure to clear cache in your optimization tools upon making these changes.

    Kind regards,
    Jarno

    Hi @jarnovos

Yess, thanks that made the pop up go away after adding the first product in the cart.
However, the popup that appears when logged in as an administrator, after saving pages, is still there.

That one even persists after disabling the Facebook integration.

Any suggestions how to make that one go away?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi @logologics,

Complianz shouldn’t load in a pagebuilder, could you however try disabling the Elementor integrations?

If there’s an animation, it might get triggered. regards Aert

    Hi @aahulsebos,

    It’s very strange behavior indeed.
I just disabled the Elementor integrations under Complianz > Integrations > Services, but that popup still appears when saving a page.

    Thanks!

    Oh, no………

Yesterday, the popup was gone on front end, now it is back again.

I just disabled all integrations, cleared all cache, looked at the product in incognito mode, but that popup is back. How is that possible?

I did the most recent updates of WordPress and all other plugins, this morning, that is the only thing that has changed.

    @jarnovos

Sorry I add many posts, but I am testing as much as I can myself, to find the culprit.

Meanwhile, I also disabled Ajax in Woocommerce>Settings> Products, but that did not help either.

Then I disabled the option to show the cart after adding a product in my theme (OceanWP) and that stopped it, but it also means I can no longer let a client see the cart automatically, after adding their first product.

Again, all is well, if one clicks ok first in your banner, but if we do not click ok, and the option is set in my theme to show the shopping cart as a popup, things go south.

    CONCLUSION

Only 2 things stop this frustrating behavior:

    1. deactivate your plugin
    2. check the “do not show shopping cart after adding a product” in Oceanwp theme

    Hi @logologics,

    To summarize:

It should be at the front-end, which it does. (Facebook disabled).

However, it’s still there when using Elementor. (Whatever is disabled).

If so, I will set-up WC, OceanWP, Elementor and Complianz to see if I can debug.

    Let me know, regards Aert

    Hi @aahulsebos,

All plugins are even disabled at the moment.
It still shows that message on frontend for a second, and disappears after the cart popup shows, as soon as the first product is added.
It still shows while editing and trying to save pages too.

I just installed the “real cookie banner” in the test shop:https://logologics.nl/sieraden/product-categorie/oorbellen/edelsteen-oorbellen/ and it does not show that message with this plugin.

If you could find the culprit so it does not happen with your plugin, I would like to keep using this plugin, I really like it.

    Thanks!

    Hoi @aahulsebos,

    Kind regards,
    Jarno
