The welcome screen for Storefront theme just doesn’t show up for the webmaster user? Is there any functionality/settings there that can’t be accessed? or is it just an informational screen?

It haves useful links, like the template documentation.

Hi there, we looked into the storefront theme’s code and found out that the theme restricts access to that page, and that users must have access to this permission:
‘activate_plugins’ (one that a default webmaster user definitely shouldn’t have)

If they provided a WordPress filter in their code it could be modified, but as it stands that code can’t be changed by anybody except WooThemes.

In the Pro version of our plugin, we do allow turning on each permission for your Webmaster User Role, and you could turn on “activate plugins” if you don’t mind giving that to your webmaster/admin. Otherwise you’d need to contact WooThemes to see if they’d consider making a change, or at least adding a WP filter that we could use to override the default behavior.

Hope that helps, let us know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,
    Nathan
