Hi, I’m having a problem installing WooCommerce. Namely that it is not able to create any of it’s tables. The error message I see is below, but when I look at the DB there are NO Woo tables at all. In fact, I can’t even visit the Woo settings or status pages because of the missing tables.

I’ve already disabled all plugins and reverted to the twentytwentyfour theme and that does not resolve problem, even after uninstalling and reinstalling Woo.

This is for a staging (non-public) site. I’m sure you need more info to help. If you tell me what you need to know I’ll try to provide the info asap.

This is the error I see:

WooCommerce wp_wc_reserved_stock table creation failed. Does the XXXXXXX user have CREATE privileges on the XXXXXXX database?

  • I have the same problem. I cannot fully install Woocommerce. The following database tables are missing for me:

    wp_wc_orders, wp_wc_order_addresses, wp_wc_order_operational_data, wp_wc_orders_meta.

The attempts mentioned to solve the problem did not lead to a solution for me either.

    Hello @jmccallweb,

Thank you for reaching out — we’re happy to help!

Looking at the error message, it is possible that the WooCommerce plugin is unable to create a necessary table in your WordPress database.

To troubleshoot this, please try creating the database completely first. To do this, please go to?WooCommerce > Status > Tools?and then click on “Verify base database tables”. Once you’ve done that, let us know the results and if you’re still seeing the same database error messages.

Please share a copy of your site’s System Status as well. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.?You could copy and paste your reply here or paste it via?https://gist.github.com/?and send the link here.

@steffen34ik, Please try the above steps and if the issue persists, kindly?create a new topic?so we can look further into this issue and assist you properly.?This will also help us follow the?forum guidelines.

    Thanks!

I can’t access those menus because none of the Woo tables were created, and those menu pages return 501s (if I remember correctly).

Actually, all the Woo admin pages return 500 (Internal Server Error)

    Hi @jmccallweb,

Actually, all the Woo admin pages return 500 (Internal Server Error)

Thank you for sharing further details on this.

500 internal server errors mean that?the server encountered an unexpected condition that prevented it from fulfilling the request. To troubleshoot this issue even further, please make sure, you have admin rights to the site then head over and check the following:

    1. Check your server error logs: They can provide more detailed information about what’s causing the error. You can ask for assistance from your host with this.
    2. Increase PHP memory limit. Sometimes, this error occurs due to insufficient memory.
    3. Check your .htaccess file, as incorrect rules in this file can cause server errors.
    4. Share with us your system status report

Looking forward to assisting you further.

You’re just giving me a canned response. The reason for the 500 error is that none of the Woo tables were created. That’s the problem I need to resolve: the creation of Woo’s tables in the database. Pretty certain the settings pages will work after that.

    Hi again @jmccallweb,

If I understand you correctly, this is happening on a staging site, is that correct? In this case, did you create the staging site using a plugin or did your host provide the staging site?

The reason I’m asking this is that if this staging site is provided by your host, it could be possible they are limiting any creation of tables.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    (@jmccallweb)

It’s being created by the host’s staging functionality. But I checked with their helpdesk first and they could not identify the issue.

    Hi @jmccallweb,

Thank you for confirming further on this.

In that case, I would recommend you try the following:

    1. Export your site and try installing it on a local test installation like this one.
    2. After installing and setting everything up, try creating a staging site with the help of a plugin like this one.
    3. Then head over and check if you’re able to create tables.

This will help rule out any issues related to your host. Let us know how this goes.

Thanks. I’m gonna give that a try this morning.
