WooCommerce Button/Link "Pay now" in E-Mail – always visible – Bug?

    Hi ,
    I have a problem regarding the “pay now” link/button in the order confirmation e-mail. It would be correct to show the link if the user would like to pay later, oder if the user has cancelled the payment. But the link shows up as well, if the user has paid the bill directly via PayPal (PLUS).

    I think this is an UX issue, it confuses the buyer. I think it is not a convenient behaviour. But in the backend I could only found the option “show” or “not show” the button. Is there another possibility to include any dynamic behaviour, so the button will only show while the payment status is pending. Does anybody has the some problem?

    Besides, we are using WooCommerce 2.6.4

    What PayPal plugin are you using for this? It sounds like PayPal isn’t communicating back that the order has been payed for. Possibly and IPN issue.

    Check to see if this issue is related to your PayPal plugin directly, rather than an issue in WooCommerce itself.

    We are using PayPal for WooCommerce, because we’ve integrated Google PLUS. But we have the same problem in the current live shop, where we do not use PayPal PLUS, just PayPal standard, without any extra plugin. So I can’t be plugin related.

    On the other hand the correct order status is shown in the WooCommerce backend, so it is communicating back that the order has been payed for, but not for each usecase.

    We’ve removed the link for everybody, even for those who haven’t paid yet. Maybe not the best UX, but well, could be worse.
