WooCommerce blank Dashboard on fresh WordPress install (on Hostgator)

    WooCommerce seems to not work properly on a perfectly fresh install, as well as on our website.

    – “WooCommerce” Dashboard only shows a blank page after a fresh install of the addon
    – When I try setting up, e.g., Credit Card payments after adding “WooCommerce Payments”

    This happens on our general WooCommerce site (with a supposedly WooCommerce compatible Theme), even if I disable all other WP plugins. And it happens even on a fresh blank WordPress install after installing only WooCommerce.

    PHP is up to date, WordPress version too, and I’ve normally no issues with WordPress that I’ve been using for years with my host. Professional WooCommerce developers were also not able to solve the issue and judged that all should be working; they replicated the issue on a blank WP install.

    Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    Update: Hostgator support was able to solve it. Maybe the (to me cryptic) message I got from it helps: .htaccess file had too much code, and he removed some of that.
    (you may understand better than I to which degree this may square with the info that I got that the issue would have been replicated on a blank WP install)
