    Hi all

I’m using premium version of User Registration plugin on my Woocommerce (dev) site.

With Woocommerce addon I can add custom fields to user registration form.

No, I’d like to extends billing and shipping address fields (also for guest customer)
For example, I’d like to add a special field IDCODE useful for the invoce in billing address (not in shipping address). IDCODE field value is realeated to billing data and a user must define it for different billing addresses.

Can I complete this scenario with your plugin?

    Thanks

    Diego

  • Hi @eumene,

Regarding your question, I am a bit confused about the use case scenario. The new field IDCODE will be created and the user registering through the form will enter a field value there.
Now, the confusing part is, whether the value will be defined somewhere else in the backend and you want to match that value or what. Please clear it on this part so that it would be easy for me to suggest to you.

Let me know and I will get back to you.
    Regards!

Sorry, I try to explain better.

You know that a customer in Woocommerce has and Address Book.

Can you confirm me that your plugin cannot be used to add fields in Address Book (billing address or shipping address) also for guest user?

    Thanks

    Diego

    Hi @eumene,

The plugin can do that but there are two cases that I would like to make clear.

    1. For users registering through the user registration form.
    – If someone is new to your site and is registering for the first time using the User Registration form which has billing address and shipping address fields then the address will be saved for that user. The saved billing and shipping address will sync with the WooCommerce’s billing and shipping addresses.

    2. For users who are already registered but not using the User Registration plugin.
    – If someone has already registered to your site and you are wanting to fill their address fields using these registration forms then you need to connect them first to the registration first using the profile connect add-on ad then they can log in to their profile to enter the address.

Let me know if that helps or not.
    Regards!
