Woocommerce automatically resets to default shipping option

    Woocommerce automatically resets to default shipping option even when the user selects another, it automatically switches back. This is happening on the basket and checkout pages.
    For example: if Flat rate has been made default, and the user selects local pickup, it switches back to Flat rate.
    I’ve tried turning off ajax and older versions of WooCommerce, still the same.
    I’m not sure what else to try

    Have you done a test on a default WP theme? The theme you’re using may have a custom template for the shipping options.

    It does work with a different theme, thanks for the suggestion.
    What’s the best thing to look for in the theme files to change to make it work?

    The template files; if you go to WooCommerce > System status it will tell you what template files the thing is overriding.

    There was a folder called cart in the WooCommerce folder in the theme that must have appeared in the during the last update that I deleted and it works
