    Hi,

I am building a airco-webshop for a client and I can’t get the attribute filter working. I have created different attributes with different default values and applied these to all the products. I have created a widget for these attributes and loaded it onto the page but it doesn’t show. I have done all the resets as described by Danyal and Maykato in earlier topics with the same issue, but unfortunately without any result. What can be the reason en does anyone know how to solve this problem?

This is the webpage it concerns: https://www.aircoalaska.nl/maxicool/

The current theme I’m using is Divi. I have also tried other themes as well to check, like Storefront, but the attribute filter still does not show up.

    I hope anyone can help.

    Hello @hypernurb!

    Thanks for reaching out!

I am building a airco-webshop for a client and I can’t get the attribute filter working.

Could you please try to simulate a clean WordPress session and see if the problem persists? You can install the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin, which allows you to simulate a clean WordPress session.

While in troubleshooting mode with the plugin above, all plugins will be disabled, and a default theme will be used, but only for your admin user role until you disable it or log out.

Also, if you see any fatal errors listed under WooCommerce → Status → Logs, please share them with us. You will need to select the option containing fatal-errors.log from the drop-down to see your fatal errors.

    Let us know the results!

    Hello Joseph,

Thanks for your help and advice. I am going to install and run the plugin tomorrow morning. I will let you know what the results will be of the test.

    Hi @hypernurb

This is noted! Kindly let us know how the testing goes and please share if you find any fatal error logs as well.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

I have installed and run the Health Check and Troubleshooting plugin. With the plugin activated the website looks rather strange (no images are visible), but also the attribute filter is not appearing. The Health Check option reports only 2 issues: Delete unused themes and a missing module ‘imagick’. The overall site diagnosis is good (alsmost a full green circle icon).
And there are no fatal errors listed in the WooCommerce – Status – Logs.

What I do notice in the Widget section, underneath the attribute filter I have added to the sidebar, a white box with black outline is visible with the text: Filter products by attribute – No example available.

Could this be the reason why it doesn’t show up on the page? And why are there no examples available? The attributes are listed in the widget window above.

    Hi @hypernurb,

Thanks for testing that. I take it that the widget didn’t show even when running WooCommerce and a default theme.

    You’d mentioned earlier:

I have created a widget for these attributes and loaded it onto the page but it doesn’t show.

Could you share with us a screenshot of how you’ve set this up from your admin side?

What I do notice in the Widget section, underneath the attribute filter I have added to the sidebar, a white box with black outline is visible with the text: Filter products by attribute – No example available.

While checking your site, I wasn’t able to see this. If possible, please also share with us a screenshot of this.

I recommend https://snipboard.io for sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL in your reply. It works with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.

    Thanks.

    Hi Abwaita,

    Please find herewith the screenshots:
This is how I created the attributes with predefined values for the products:

This is how the attributes are applied to all products:

    Hello @hypernurb!

Thanks for the reply and for sharing the screenshots!

I have installed and run the Health Check and Troubleshooting plugin. With the plugin activated the website looks rather strange (no images are visible), but also the attribute filter is not appearing.

Circling back to your previous reply again, could you please let us know if you had the WooCommerce plugin and a default theme activated while in troubleshooting mode with the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin? You will need to activate the WooCommerce plugin while on a default theme to isolate any plugins/themes that might be causing this.

Let us know how it turns out. We will be here!

    Hi Joseph,

Indeed I already had the WooCommerce plugin activated before running the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. I have run the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin again and activated WooCommerce after activating the default theme. I have created a new page with the default theme active and loaded the widget in the sidebar, and now it appears to work! Yeah!
Then I activated the Divi theme again and it still works: https://www.aircoalaska.nl/shop/

Only when I want to edit the page within the Divi builder I get this message:
    https://snipboard.io/R2GhpU.jpg

Do you know what this means?

    Hi @hypernurb!

Thank you for sending the screenshot.

Since everything is working now, it looks that something might be happening with the DIVI theme you are using on your site.

For that, we recommend contacting the DIVI support team since they are the most appropriate to check further into this.

You can contact DIVI support here: https://www.elegantthemes.com/contact/.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi Juan,

Yes, I think you’re right. It appears that Divi is causing the issue, since error message pops up after activating the Divi builder. I will contact the Divi support team and hope they can help.

Thank you all for your assistance and help!

    Hi @hypernurb
