I don’t really understand how this works, but on the checkout page Woocommerce ask for the shipping method as well as the address, then if you want to pay using Amazon pay, you have to select the address from Amazon, is there a way to disable the Amazon address… main problem is that, someone can select the cheapest shipping method only available for certain regions but then we change the address on Amazon and can do the payment.

In the Amazon Pay documentation, here https://developer.amazon.com/docs/amazon-pay-checkout/introduction.html on item 2, they mention that the address is optional.

    Thanks

What did you test? It “works” ok, but the problem that we are having is that people is able to enter the address on Amazon, but the shipping rates are calculated before that happens, so they could select the cheapest shipping option and then on Amazon they can change the address to their real address, that is the issue, how can I do to stop Amazon to receive an address?

    Hey @castiblanco ,

If Client select another address on checkout by clicking on “Change” the Checkout should refresh and shows the correct shipping options.

If it’s not the case give me the exacts steps to reproduce the issue and on which site I should test.

    Thanks.

    Hi @christian1983

It seems I didn’t explain it good, the exact steps to reproduce are:

    1. Add product to the cart.
    2. Go to the checkout page.
    3. Fill address and everything else.
    4. Click on the Amazon button (I’ve been using the sandbox for testing)
    5. HERE, when you land on Amazon and you login with your account, you are asked again to input the address.

That is the issue, if someone uses free shipping (only for X countries) on checkout, they land on Amazon without any fee for shipping cost, and they can switch the address to their real address and the WooCommerce order will have the Amazon address. So there will be a huge problem with the shipping costs.

    Hey @castiblanco

    Hope you are doing well!

If user use Amazon Pay there is no need to use the clasic Checkout form because Amazon pay is going to override all the info and use the Address selected on the Amazon account.

After user selects the Address on Amazon Account and get back to the checkout page, the shipping options should be refreshed.

if it’s not working like I mention above, try to check the following link conflict test on a Staging site, could be some plugin or even the Theme you are using. We need to isolate the problem first.

If you can’t find the issue, please contact us at WooCommerce.com > My Account > Support. You may need to create an account before you can access that page.
Please include a link to this forum thread, so that we can keep track of what’s already been done.
We will be able to help you further there.

Amazon pay is a nightmare. I can’t tell you how many orders have been messed up. Customer wants to change shipping and can’t. It should refresh, but it doesn’t. I’m not sure how I’m supposed to test. What do you recommend. Buy countless items with a different address until I find the conflict? I know of other people in a Woofunnels group who disable the plugin.

It doesn’t work as it should. I have had to redo, reship, edit more than this plugin is worth! It should be a simple fix!

    Hey @pfwondersalve,

Sorry to hear about your issue, and I understand how frustrating it is.

Customer wants to change shipping and can’t. It should refresh, but it doesn’t.

If they are using the Express checkout the user should be able to change the address with a link that is next to the Shipping address like the screenshot below in this link. If the link is not present, could be related to a conflict with a plugin or theme that modifies the Checkout page.

If it’s not the case, we will need steps to try to reproduce the issue.
