    Hello siteground team,

Our site is currently hosting with siteground and we are trying to manage the site with the woocommerce app.

However when we try to connect to site via the woocommerce app we were hit by the xmlrpc 403 error, with this message:

“Couldn’t connect. We received a 403 error when trying to connect to access your site’s XMLRPC endpoint. The app needs that in order to communicate with your site. Contact your host to solve this problem.”

I tried to disable SG security and was able to connect again. But are there any ways that I can keep the SG security activated and still retain access to woocommerce app?

Any chance to add the woo app to the white list for XMLRPC?

    Thanks!

    Sol

You don’t need to disable the plugin. Just disable the functionality which blocks XML RPC access to your site.

And no – you can’t whitelist apps, there is no such functionality, you either disable or enable the protocol.

Ah thanks Hristo I already disabled that xmlrpc option.
But by using that official woocommerce app would leave me vulnerable to Brute force attack instead?

Are there Any other workarounds that you would suggest us to try to keep our site secured? Like probably other woocommerce app or adjust some settings in PHP?

    Thanks for the help!
