I am still experiencing connection issues after upgrading to Facebook for WooCommerce 2.0.1. I see this has been an ongoing issue for others as well. I am hoping to get some support to get it working again. Thanks!

    Hey @cassgcg ,

Thanks for contacting us about Facebook for WooCommerce. Sorry to hear our plugin is not connecting your site to Facebook. I am happy to help out ??

There are a couple of different error messages that can happen when there are connection issues. Can you please let me know the text or a screenshot of the error message that you are receiving when attempting to connect?

    Cheers,

    Steve

Hi Steve, I didn’t see where I could attach an image here so I’ll just tell you what it looks like and says… The error message page I get after trying to sync up facebook and woocommerce has the WooCommerce logo on top. Underneath the logo it says, “Something went wrong when connecting to Facebook! Please try again” Then underneath that is has a logo that says “AUTOMATTIC”. Let me know if you need anything else.

    Thanks,
    Cass

    Hey @cassgcg

We have a snippet that will give us some additional error information, which may give us a better indication as to what might be happening here. Can you please add the following snippet to your site and attempt to connect to Facebook again? If you aren’t familiar with adding custom code to your site, here is some information as to how to do it. Personally, I like the free Code Snippets plugin method.

    Here is the snippet:

    add_filter( ‘wc_facebook_connection_proxy_url’, function() { return ‘https://wc-connect-test.skyverge.com/auth/facebook/’;} );

Once the snippet is in place and you have had a chance to try to connect to Facebook again, would you please send along any additional error messages that show?

    Cheers,

    Steve

    Hey @hunchopreneur ,

Thanks for reaching out about the plugin. I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue as well. Although you are seeing the same error message and having a similar experience with connecting to Facebook, it may or may not be the same issue, I’m afraid.

Since you’re not the person who originally started this topic then, per the forum guidelines, would you please start your own topic? We’ll be more than happy to help there ??

    Cheers,
    Steve
