Never had a problem before, but ever since I updated to the latest WooCommerce, I get these errors instead of a WordPress login page. Cannot even login to WordPress. Had to completely rebuild site from a backup. When I update all the plugins except WooCommerce, the site works fine, but as soon as I update WooCommerce, my site breaks again. Cannot update until this is fixed.

  • The same thing happened to me. I notice we are both using Divi. I wonder if that’s the underlying issue?

However, I will say that my site worked after updating to 4.4.1 but crashed once I clicked the prompt to delete the old WC Admin plugin (which I did immediately after upgrading)

I had to disable WC for my site to be functional again.

I hope this provides more context for support.

Same here. I am looking for answers on how to fix for my client ??

Same in the my case, WordPress 5.5, woocommerce 4.4.1 broke my site, disabled all plugins, changed to a WordPress default theme and still issues.

    PHP 7.4, MariaDB 10.3.23

Tried with a new WP installation, seems to work fine until doing the Woocommerce wizard, it doesn’t work or set up the woocommerce:

Illegal string offset 'slug' in .../wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/packages/woocommerce-admin/src/API/Reports/PerformanceIndicators/Controller.php on line 149

also same error on line 152 and so on

Same here, had to revert to the previous version, will wait untill they squash the bugs before updating.

I was finally able to fix this issue. Hopefully this is helpful to others dealing with a broken site following updating WC to 4.4.1.

I found that my WordPress database had been corrupted. For good measure, I deactivated all plugins, then backed up the DB with BackWPup and then through the MySQL Databases section in CPanel I checked the database for errors. Turns out my Action Scheduler was corrupted. So I clicked “Repair”.

From there I uploaded and activated WC, updated the WC database and reactivated all my plugins. The site is now back to normal.

Hi all – is this still an issue for anyone or have recent updates of other plugins helped resolve this?

    Thanks,

Yes, still broken. 4.3.3 is fine but any update attempt with 4.4.0 or 4.4.1 ends in WooCommerce being removed completely with tons of errors.

    Hi @stellathirteen

Can you share some of the errors you are seeing when trying to update, please?

Now we have released 4.5.1, can you try updating again and reporting back here?

    Thanks,
