    Hi,

I installed the lastest Woo Update 3.9.0 and still see the “Database update in progress” notification after hours on my Dashboard.

When checking under Woo >> Status >> Scheduled >> Pending there’s still 3 hooks
    named “woocommerce_run_update_callback” with status pending.

I already searched older topics about this and deactivated every plugin that may interfere with Woocommerce but couldnt get it to work.

There is also NO OPTION to run the tasks manually when checking the box next to a single task’s name. This was described as a possible solution in other topics but the option just isn’t there.

Can someone else confirm this or give me hints on how to fix it?
I need to run the updates on my live site as well but I am afraid it might end like it has on the testing site.

    Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

    I found a solution:

I ran into this problem on my staging site and have noticed that the older version of WooCommerce (3.8.1) on my productive site had different language displaying in the Woocommerce schedule planners options, although both sites are set and run in German.

Apparently 3.9.0 also installs an update for the german translation, which then removes the “run” option that is supposed to show on a mouse-over inside the schedule planner of Woo.

I had to set the whole site to english and was able to run the database update manually.

Maybe this can be recreated and fixed in the process. Thanks.

    Hi there,

Thanks for reporting your problem and the followup solution!

I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    resolved

I have the same issue (installation language is Spanish) and can confirm that changing the language to English (US) patially solves the problem by showing the “Run” link to manually complete the database update.

The link then disappears when the language is changed back to Spanish.

My installation language is English and still have the same issue. 3 finished, 9 pending and 1 failed. Any suggestions??

and there is no option to update them manually.

    Hi,

in my case there was stil the option to delete the pending ones by selecting it with a click in the box next to the “hook” and then selecting “delete” in the dropdown menu.

You should be able to restart the update from the tab called “tools”. In there you find the option to run a database update on the very bottom of the tools tab.

    maybe this helps?

I was able to manually update them by going to WooCommerce->Status->Scheduled Actions.

    Thanks

Same problem, my ”run” button seams to be a text field: woocommerce_run_update
So i can’t start the update manually. Even if i set the language to english there ist no “run” button. What to do ?

When i switched my langugae to “American (english)” in the WordPress settings and then i get the run now text in the pending action. Problem which existed for many weeks is now
    solved!
