WooCommerce 3.3 Broke Category Pages & Display Options

This is an issue we are currently looking into. More information on this here: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/1867.

The problem has to do with outdated WooCommerce templates in the theme or a plugin. The next update, WooCommerce 3.3.1, will have a patch that will help make this work better for themes that aren’t being updated.

The other broken product image issue is now all category images are no longer the same size. Every one of them is the original size ratio instead of the intended square or rectangle. Makes the site look pretty bad.

Try WP Rollback plugin. It will work even if you didn’t save a backup. It will give option to go back. It worked for me. I did a db backup before I ran it.
ditto on the image resizing and broken cats. Now everything back to normal.
there was still an issue where above the sub category the parent category name showed.
I moved products to uncat and deleted the parent, then I recreated the parent and it got rid of the name of the parent above the sub-cat. I am on latest ver. of WP. All plugs up to date.

WooCommerce 3.3.1 will address this.

One of my past clients has contacted me about this issue, which I am trying to resolve for her. Odd thing is the problem still exists for her on WooCommerce version 3.3.3. There is also a problem with pagination not displaying.

Do I have to apply a manual patch for these problems (despite being on latest WC) or edit the template files? Client purchased theme a few years ago it is no longer maintained. ??

One of our client sites has been affected by this. Regenerating thumbnails appears to have fixed everything save for the shop display (in category view) which is a complete mess.

I have WC 3.3.3, but still have the same problem. How can I troubleshoot this?

Same issue for me until declaring theme support in the theme function file:

//declare support for woo commerce
add_action( 'after_setup_theme', 'woocommerce_support' );
    function woocommerce_support() {
        add_theme_support( 'woocommerce' );
    }
