For whatever reason, saving variations no longer works. We’re on WordPress 4.9.2 right now, but have also tested with 4.9.3 beta1 with no success. I’ve switched to the Twenty Seventeen theme, and disabled all plugins except for WooCommerce, and the issue still persists. The issue happens on all of the following development environments as well:

    - local
    - dev
    - staging
    - production

Here’s a video of the issue in action:

Another post suggested that the issue was resolved in WooCommerce 3.2.5, but that isn’t the case for me. If you need any additional info, please let me know!

WC 3.2.4 isn’t compatible with WP 4.9+ due to some changes in WP 4.9. You need to upgrade to at least 3.2.5 (and preferably 3.2.6): https://woocommerce.wordpress.com/2017/11/22/woocommerce-3-2-5-fix-release-notes/

EDIT: I see you already had this recommendation.

Might be a stretch, but could try to see if this is the problem: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/problems-with-large-amounts-of-data-not-saving-variations-rates-etc/#php-539-and-max_input_vars

Otherwise, try disabling all plugins except for WooCommerce and test again. If the problem still occurs, temporarily switch to a default theme. This will help rule out a lot of variables.

@icaleb – Just tried increasing the max_input_vars to 2000 with no success. Same issue.

For all curious, I’m testing with WooCommerce 3.3.0 and WordPress 4.9.2, with zero plugins active other than WooCommerce. I’m also testing with the Twenty Seventeen theme with no modifications.

From what I can see, this is still an issue in WC 3.3.0.

    Hmm, this is super strange.

Could you try creating a new attribute w/ a set of terms, and then a new variable product?

    Hi @ashworth,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while. Have you solved your problem already?

If not, did you have a chance to create a new attribute and a variable product like @icaleb suggested?

    Thanks!

This problem is NOT resolved. In my case it is associated with stock management. If I select ‘Enable stock management at product level’ I cannot change or save a change from Out of stock to In stock in either of the 2 variations. Deselected stock management and I can reset Out of stock to In stock. Save changes, Update…works. Go back and re-select ‘Enable stock management at product level’, it reverts to Out of stock. Woocommerce 3.3.4, WordPress 4.9.5 . There are multiple threads about this issue over the past few months, none of which provide a solution?
